I really believe the Cardinals will have a tough go of it this year with #7 at the helm. As a team you have to believe in your field general, a team is only as strong as its weakest link and I just don’t see the swagger in Leinart, He just looks tired and frustrated; you hear it in his voice you see it on his face.
There is just too much drama and controversy surrounding the character, the player, the person which has to be affecting his psyche and focus; he is feeling pressure to perform as he has yo-yoed up and down the depth chart. I really believe Matt needs a change, a fresh start somewhere else if only to clear his head. With Leinart as the Starting QB the skill positions around him will suffer devaluation, the WR’s know this, of course they can’t or won’t say they have no faith their current signal caller but it is in their heads just the same, they have a lingering fear that this one will indeed lead them into disaster. I had mentioned this a few weeks back, how his poor throws and decision making have hanged his receivers out to dry, that statement was based on what I witnessed.
There is a mantra of sorts amongst the Cardinals Fan’s ‘ In Whiz we Trust’ We, I know Coach Whiz is aware and I believe he is feeling the same sense of uncertainty at the QB position and is getting ready to make that call. The Cardinals have two very promising young Quarterbacks in John Skelton and Max Hall who have the attitude and mind set; they are not shrouded with controversy or clouded by outside interference. As coach may have an issue with the trial by fire, not much for throwing the young ones into the pit and would prefer to develop a little more but at the same time I also believe he knows he needs to cut his loses and move on, The future is now! There should not be anymore sugar coating it, we can see the writing on the wall, So be it Anderson the starter for a year or one of the young ones, a change is due, your team must have the confidence in each other, the team must be as one.
