Most fantasy football rankings have Chris Johnson way at the top and the biggest reason is for his past performance. Well that’s just want it is — the past — and what fantasy owners care about is the future. Can he break the single season rushing record? The answer is two fold: Attitude helps and….
I’ll believe it when I see it!
That is because it has never been done before, but we thought it could. I mean come on we’re talking Eric Dickerson, O.J, Barry, T.D, Jamal Lewis even did it once. Barry Sanders was the only one to follow up, though falling short of 1,500 by 9 yards. It’s good to set lofty goals especially after feeling shunned in the MVP voting. A chip on your shoulder with a fire burning inside; I like that attitude.
I’ll keep Chris Johnson at the top of my rankings as the number one fantasy football pick. Sure he got somewhat of a raise for this season and then now as reported by PFT expects a monster deal next year, but he knows that that’s not going to happen unless he does it again one more time and that’s lead the league in rushing. Good luck Chris!
