Mock Draft I Team 3

As part of my continuing effort to compile a dominate fantasy football team, I have mocked up some teams using ADP’s in hopes of getting a glimpse of the players I maybe fielding going into the 2010 fantasy football season. Of course live drafts hardly, if ever fall inline with my draft strategy, No rage against the machine, it is just the way it is but you still have to start somewhere, what better place then here, what better time then now!. This is the standard 12 team league picking at the #3 spot’ Nothing out of the ordinary here as the first three stayed inline CJ, AP, MJD as I am sure this will remain as an every draft case scenario. Having Grant there at 2:10 did not seem right, but then Peyton as well, how do I pass up a QB that is a sure 4000yrds and 35 TD’s at the back of rd 2 for 1000 yrd 8TD RB2. I know tides are a changing; a Top 5 QB is almost a necessity to have a decent shot at the title. DeSean Jackson, took a few picks early at 27 knowing he would not be there at my next pick 46; I almost went Marshall but I like what Philly is doing. The other Steve Smith NYG I think is fair value he should be a solid WR2 . Matt Schaub; Now if this really did happen, Schaub 3rd pick of rd 5 Then WHOA makes passing on Peyton a little easier to bear as Schaub should be flirting with the 4000 yrds mark and 25 plus TD’s.
Pierre Garcon-Knowing Peyton will have a monster year Garcon has to be a part of it, in other words; Oui, monsieur, je vais encore attraper beaucoup de ballons.
In English that means Yes Sir, I will still catch many balls.
Of course it is always nice to have a productive TE if the position is required and not a WR/TE.
Witten was left after Clark, Gates, Celek and Tony G.. Jason gets the yards, could use more trips to the end-zone.
Michael Bush- It’s a chance but somebody has to be the man in OAK, He was a highly regarded RB as a rookie a few years back and hasn’t stepped up to the plate, Fargus can’t go much farther, Not sure what to think of McF other than I still believe he cant take the rigors of a full NFL season, M. Bush it is your time, take the bull by the horns.
This part of the draft is where I am re-reminded how monotony can set in,
HHMM I don’t know about this guy, not sure I like this one either, do I take a top Defense and or that indoor Kicker that has homes games in weeks 13, 14 and 15 or take my flier on a WR4, Take the #4 WR. The remaining picks 118 through 166 closes out backups, D, K and other fliers. I’m sure these names will certainly change as the mocks go by as I don’t believe the Vikings Defense will be there for the taking into round 12. At this point I would feel comfortable starting the season with this core group but we can’t stop here, keep on mocking it may help alleviate the symptoms associated with the onset of an acute anxiety neurosis or otherwise known in Fantasy Football circles as ( PDSD ) Post-Draft-Stress-Disorder
The hopeless, helpless feeling of ‘I totally botched this draft, I’m screwed!

03 MJD- Stay the Course
23 Ryan Grant- Geez Peyton still there, WOW passing on a sure 4000/35
27 DeSean Jackson- Thought B.Marshall
46 Steve Smith NYG- This should be a nice pick
51 Matt Schaub – Would this happen in a real draft?- Eases the passing on Peyton, a little
70 Garcon Pierre -Oui, monsieur, je vais encore attraper beaucoup de ballons
75 Jason Witten- Needs more TD’s could be even more unlikely in 2010
94 Michael Bush- Time to take the bull by the horns
99 Julian Edelman- Portis, Floyd or Antonio Bryant-Not expecting Wes back, take the risk
118 Tim Hightower -Need a 4th RB to fill wk 10 bye -SEA at AZ vs Thomas Jones at DEN
123.Carson Palmer- QB’s are thin WK 7 at ATL covers Schaubs bye
142 Vikings D Jets and Pack went ahead 12th rd? – see what happens in real draft
147 Ryan Longwell – opt. Arian Foster, need a K w/ home gms wk 13,14,15 K was the pick
166 Arrelious Benn- Just had to draft a rookie-Maybe he will be as scary at the next level?
