Week one of the 2010 NFL preseason is in the books and every coach hates this time of year because all they care about is two things: 1) No injuries and 2) don’t show any other teams what your going to do during the regular season. The late Bill Walsh lived by those two rules and it did him well.
That said from a fantasy football perspective here are ten (10) observations “I think I think” you can take to your fantasy football draft in the next couple of weeksr: 1) Jay Cutler is going to have a much better year than he did last year, thats right and you can thank Martz , Knox and Olsen for that. 2) In SF Anthony Dixon is going to carry more of a load and be sure to HC him to Gore, I think Alex Smith is going to loose his job to Carr by week 3. 3) Buffalo’s RB situation is not good and Spiller is the week 1 starter but stay away from all of them early in your draft. 4) Dallas not scoring TD’s in their first two games..no worries they will be just fine remember its not about how you start its about how you finish and preseason week one is not about looking good, plus I say you take their defense. 5) Draft RB S. Greene and thank me later, 6) Draft Thomas Jones in the late rounds as he will force J. Charles to the bench. 7) Draft Ryan Matthews before you even think of any Dallas, Houston or Miami running back. Guys the real deal.
McNabb will out perform Kolb only in the first three weeks of the season- so draft Kolb for your team. 9) Josh Freeman could be a good bye week player to fill in for your starting QB, guy makes plays and 10) Aaron Roger’s will lead all Quarterbacks in points this season they are a well oiled machine and have the “same chip on their shoulder” the Saints did last year.
Now I leave you with an oldie but goodie as my good friend Andy Benoit at NFL Touchdown.com has his most popular article on “21 reasons why NFL Football is better than marriage” read on and enjoy/
